Just a short 40 minute journey from Paris, one will discover the majestic Chateau de Villette, a breathtaking destination wedding venue. The estate, also referred to as 'Le Petit Versailles', sits regally upon over 185 acres of parkland inclusive of two lakes, a cascade fountain, glass house and Orangerie.
Branded a historical landmark in 1942 by the French government, the original home was designed by Francois Mansart for the Count of Auffley and then later completed by Mansart's great-nephew, Jules Hardouin, famously known as the chief-architect of Louis XV.
A wedding at Chateau de Villette is one that even Prince & Princesses alike would soon approve of. So, without further ado, let us guide you through what your destination wedding might look like...

A house which loves French Blue as much as we do. A house after our own hearts. A house that has welcomed guests such as Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin & Thomas Paine in the past and more presently the likes of John Travolta, Tom Cruise and Lenny Kravitz. Oh, and one has to mention that upon a visit, the estate served as inspiration for Dan Brown upon writing and later producing 'Da Vinci Code.'
The main chateau is home to seven unique suites (for up to thirteen guests) designed by Jacques Garcia with interior that reflect the Louis XV era and complete with period furnishing & objects. An additional sixteen guests can be accommodated in the wing of the château for a total accommodation capacity of thirty guests.
As guests explore various rooms and hallways, they will be greeted with artwork, much like in a museum, reflecting 18th century France through a blend of Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI pieces.
Whilst enjoying everything the estate has to offer, guests will also be invited to participate in horse riding, fishing, rowing and of course, strolling through the gardens.
Being just a short 40 minute drive away from Paris and, arguably one of the most beautiful castles in the world, there is no question why Chateau de Villette makes the perfect destination wedding venue.
