The original manor house is of the Jacobean era however has been superbly updated throughout the centuries. Most notably, when the Georgian facade was added in the 17th century and then later, in the 1930s, when Architect and Landscape Designer, Clough Williams-Ellis was hired to add the beautiful Italianate gardens and lake that welcome guests up to the present day.
