This week for our couple’s spotlight we couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to our Washington DC based couple, Nika and Hani who are saying ‘I do’ in one of the dreamiest venues we’ve ever experienced, Château de Varenne. Say hello to a Provence chateau wedding inspired by fairy tale designs and English Countryside, aka perfection.
From our first call with Nika where she described the vision for her dream wedding day we knew we were the perfect pair. One glance at her Instagram, calligraphetteco and you will be in awe of her pure talent, thoughtful eye and sweet spirit.
Nika studied abroad and lived for several months in Provence where she spent her weekends strolling through the historical streets of Avignon, perfecting her French with her host family turned real family and sought out her favorite crêperie in all of the South of France. So, when her handsome boyfriend of 9 years popped the question on a romantic picnic there really wasn’t a question where they wanted to celebrate their love. And, the Provence chateau, Château de Varenne ended up being the perfect pair.
From the very beginning, the mood, pigment and texture where very clear- a heavy emphasis on fairy tale inspired designs and a love for the English Countryside paired perfectly with a romantic and authentic French château. So, after our first design call, we couldn’t wait to transform these adjectives, visions and dreams into the start of their visual proposal- all with the backdrop of breath-taking Château de Varenne and the Rhône Valley.
Guests will be taken on a journey throughout the entire weekend starting with a celebration welcome dinner at no other than Nika’s favorite creperie she discovered many moons ago. As Nika is an extremely talented calligrapher and stationery designer herself, guests will be swept away from their arrival in not only unique pieces created by Nika but items that also serve as a guide for the weekend in their favorite place in the world, Provence. We want each guest, to feel a part of this specific moment in time, to know that each were thought about in the planning process and each feel nothing but an abundance of love + romance.
While we are keeping many elements of the day and story a secret until post ‘I-do’s’ we can promise the most beautiful mixture of textures and pigments paired with story book style moments captured by Branco Prata. We simply cannot wait.
